The project included construction of chlorination and dechlorination facilities to disinfect up to 250 MGD of effluent flow. This required construction of chline contact basins and buildings for storage Sodium Hypochlorite and Sodium Bisulfite .
Due to combined sewers feeding this facility a second system was installed to treat high wet weather effluent. Additional work included installation of VFD’s and switchgear for 700 hp effluent pumps.
