Chouteau Island Grit Tank

Emergency Response project from major flooding event in Summer 2019 where 1 of 2 settling tanks were completely destroyed and critical pipeline was exposed to potential failure. Project site is isolated on an island in the Mississippi River that is serviced by a single lane bridge with limited weight capacity.

This required the mobilizing most material and equipiment via barges. In addition to the new tank and pipeline infrastructure a system of 54″ and 48″ line stops were utilized with up to 500LF of bypass piping handling roughly 30 MGD.
