This progressive design build project replaced an existing facility dating back to the 1950’s that was well beyond it’s usable life. A driving force in using design build delivery to reduce schedule due to reliabilty concerns with the existing facility.
The collaboration on this project included fianancing, site, water source and treatment technology selection that was most cost effective, turn key solution for Crystal City. In addition to being the design builder, Goodwin Brothers took on the task of rehabilitating an abandoned collector well. When others said rehabilitation was not possible, Goodwin Brothers put together a plan that maintained the project schedule and budget.
