The project is to modernize the WTP by addressing rehabilitation needs, optimize the treatment process, increase the treatment capacity from 240 MGD to 270 MGD, and eliminate restrictions to eventually increase the hydraulic capacity to 300 MGD.
The project involved replacing the existing aging launders with stainless steel launders capable of increased capacity to meet Missouri Department of Natural Resources guidelines as well as new bridges, walkways, and residual collection equipment (clarifiers).
